Meet Our Pastor

Leading our congregation since June 2018, Rev. Tiffania Icaza Willetts brings to SHUMC her love and commitment to serving Jesus Christ, her spiritual gifts of discernment, preaching and teaching, and her experience in leadership development that inspire our members to reach out to the community with the love of God. She is a dynamic preacher and a wise, dedicated teacher.

Pastor Tiffania grew up as a pastor’s kid in the Florida Annual Conference, and she has been involved in the church on a local, district and conference level for several years. She answered God’s call to ordained ministry after a spiritual experience on the Walk to Emmaus.

She spent three years as a missionary, first in Buenos Aires, Argentina, working with the World Student Christian Federation, Division of Latin America and the Caribbean. Pastor Tiffania then served in campus ministry at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri.

She is the daughter of the Rev. Thomas Willetts and the Rev. Lia Icaza-Willetts, both pastors in the Florida Conference. Her sister, Isabel, is a missionary in China.

Pastor Tiffania holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a minor in Latin American Studies from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, and in May 2018, she earned her Master of  Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

By the grace of God, Pastor Tiffania was commissioned in June 2018 as a Provisional Elder in the Florida Annual Conference.
