In person meetings will be at the parsonage (6302 N Central Ave.) and last approximately an hour and a half; zoom meetings will last approximately an hour. A pizza lunch will be provided on in-person days, but online days will be bring your own lunch.

Each event will provide participants the opportunity to answer three questions:

(3) What is your dream for Seminole Heights? Everyone in our church is encouraged to answer these questions, whether at a Pizza with the Pastor event or by getting your answers to Pastor Nicki directly.

On Sunday, April 27, SPRC Chair Diane Chadwick shared that Pastor Tiffania will be moving this summer, and Rev. Nicki Taylor will be starting as our pastor on July 1. We give thanks for Pastor Tiffania's 7 years of faithful ministry, and we are excited to welcome Pastor Nicki to the neighborhood!

I am an Elder in Full Connection from the Florida Conference, returning after serving an interim appointment in the Indiana Conference.  I have served the people of Main Street United Methodist in Boonville, Indiana, just outside of Evansville, for a year (2024-2025).

I am a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary's Florida campus.  I am originally from Kentucky, but lived in Florida from 2015-2024.  During that time, I served on staff at Hyde Park United Methodist (2015-2020), Pastor at United Methodist Temple in Lakeland (2020-2021) and Associate Pastor at First UMC Lakeland (2021-2024).

I am married to Travis, who has returned to the University of South Florida as an academic advisor.  He had previously been with them for almost 6 years (2018-2024).  We met in college and married in 2014.  We have one son, Wyatt, who is 5 years old and will be entering kindergarten this fall.  We also have two dogs.

I am passionate about partnering with churches and their people so they can follow God's call to serve their communities.  I am ecstatic to see how Seminole Heights is already so connected with its community, and look forward to continuing those ministries.  I love preaching and have experience supporting church administration and supervising staff.  In my most recent interim pastorate, I shepherded a church through a budget deficit toward greater financial stability, without sacrificing mission and ministry.

For fun, I love baking, running, long walks with my family, yoga and theme parks.  I also love spending time with my family and friends.  We are very excited to join you soon and call the Seminole Heights neighborhood our home!

Dear Friends,

We are so grateful for the many ways you show up for Seminole Heights United Methodist Church. When we join the church, we make a promise to support the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Your gifts of your time and your finances make everything we do possible in our church, in our community, and in our world.

Many of you make a pledge every year to make a financial gift to support the ministries of our church, and based on the amount pledged, the Administrative Committee of the church sets the yearly budget.

The Administrative Committee met at the end of 2024 and the first part of 2025 to ensure our budget is realistic and stewarding our resources well. Unfortunately, even with their intentional work, our budget for 2025 is projected to reach a $30,000 deficit.

We are reaching out to you, as a member of the church or someone who has made a gift in the past, because we want you to know the financial situation of the church, AND because we want to offer an opportunity to support our church during this time. Could you consider either making a pledge or increasing your annual pledge to help us cover some of the projected deficit? Even a small weekly or monthly increase in your giving can go a long way.

To make a pledge or increase your pledge, go to www.semheights.com/pledge, or you can fill out a pledge card in worship with your updated information. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to one of us or to our church Treasurer, Christine Messer, at christine@semheights.com.

God bless,

Katy Smith, Administrative Committee Chair

Justin Rancourt, Finance Chair
