Every Person, Couple, and Family is Welcome at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church
March 1, 2019 – The global United Methodist Church General Conference voted this week to maintain restrictions regarding who can become clergy and who can be married in United Methodist churches. It remains to be seen whether and how this vote will be implemented.
I want to make it clear that ALL people are welcome at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church.
Please know that nothing has changed at Seminole Heights UMC – if anything, our resolve to welcome and include everyone has intensified. As a church, we have always desired that everyone in our community would experience God’s love and would feel safe, welcomed, and loved by all of us at Seminole Heights UMC. Independently of what happens in our global church, I ask that we all remain focused on loving God and loving others in our church, community, and the world.
